"This is not a tax increase, but an extension of the current mil rate of 2.3826 and would expire in 12 years," the superintendent said during the report to trustees.
Board members received the informational update ahead of Election Day. The superintendent framed the item as routine voter consideration of continuing current levy authority; the minutes note only the informational presentation and that the election is scheduled for the day after the meeting. No formal board action on the millage was taken at the Nov. 4 meeting; the renewal will be decided by voters at the election referenced in the superintendent's report.
