The Chelsea School District Board accepted a donation from the Chelsea Kiwanis Club to support families who do not qualify for GSRP but need tuition assistance (Action Item 30-24-25). Superintendent Kapolka noted the Kiwanis contribution and thanked Mike and Lisa Nickel for their support.
Kapolka also reported that the Chelsea Education Foundation secured over $21,000 for grants and scholarships this year, citing work by Amy Forehand and Katie Helper. Earlier in the meeting Rod Beaton of Rod's Motorcycle Awareness and Suicide Prevention Foundation was listed in the agenda for a bench donation to the district.
