Board approves 2025–26 student fees, including $140 early-bird transportation and increased material/technology charges

The Finance Committee recommended and the full board approved the 2025–26 student fee schedule, including Transportation at $140 (early-bird pricing, increasing after May 1), Material & Technology fees of $250 for elementary and $280 for middle school, and preschool tuition and snack fees. The motion was made by Mrs. Janine Freedlund and seconded by Mr. Robert Rognstad and passed unanimously.
During discussion Mrs. Freedlund asked the board to consider purchasing school supplies districtwide to reduce family cost and logistical burden; Mr. Rognstad suggested the board consider eliminating all fees except transportation. The board did not vote to change the fee structure at this meeting.
