The board's "Howell Highlights and Happenings" segment recognized multiple student and staff achievements. The minutes note that Howell High School senior Elaina Pennell "claimed second place in the 2025 Family and Consumer Sciences Education Association National Public Service Announcement and Digital Poster Contest." The board also honored Mrs. Tina Everard as the 2024–2025 Teacher of the Year and Mrs. Angela Harris as the 2024–2025 Support Person of the Year; both will be honored at the April board meeting.
Other achievements recorded in the minutes included the Howell High School Math Club participation at UM–Flint Math Field Day with senior Bella Farrell earning first place for her Chalk Talk on Transcendental Numbers; FCCLA state competition results (four gold, three silver) with qualifiers for nationals; the boys boardercross team winning the MHSAA State Championship and individual results for Anson Forsyth and Chase Clay; and the boys hockey team advancing to the state championship.
