The Forest Hills Board of Education on June 3 returned from closed session and rated Superintendent Kirby effective in every section of her quarterly evaluation, President Fauson said.
The special meeting, called to order at 5:01 p.m. at the district Administration Building, was convened specifically to conduct the superintendent's quarterly evaluation. Board members present were Fauson, Michaud, Terryn, Ninemeier, Kermode and DeBoer; Member Colley was absent.
Earlier in the meeting, Member Kermode moved and Member Michaud supported approval of the minutes from the May 18 regular and closed meetings; that motion passed by a unanimous 6-0 voice vote. Member Terryn then moved, with support from Member Kermode, that the board go into closed session to conduct the superintendent evaluation pursuant to MCL 15.268(1)(a). The roll-call vote in favor listed Michaud, Kermode, DeBoer, Ninemeier, Fauson and Terryn; the regular session dismissed at 5:03 p.m.
President Fauson returned the meeting to open session at 6:40 p.m. and indicated the evaluation result. Superintendent Kirby thanked the board for their feedback and support and noted that June 4 is the last day of school; district administration has begun planning for the 2026-27 school year.
No public comments were recorded during the meeting, and no additional board business was raised before the meeting adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
