Pine Ridge students showcase art program the board says builds confidence

The presentation described use of student sketchbooks and a Pine Ridge Pride Ticket art contest as ways to promote creativity, reflection and peer celebration.
Students who participated spoke about personal impacts and the presenters said the program helps build student confidence and strengthen relationships across the school community. The presentation was given during the open portion of the May 18 meeting; the board recognized the role of arts instruction in student well-being.
