Public Works told the Select Board that additional surveying and design work is required after field discoveries on Fairview/Bridal and a failing culvert on Donna Drive. The additional design and survey work will be funded from the town's engineering line and will establish necessary easements where pipework crosses private parcels.
Staff explained one culvert replacement is Tier 2/3 stream crossing and will require state permits; another recently discovered culvert was added to the scope, increasing the design cost. The board moved, seconded and approved the amended contracts with KB Partners and authorized the public works director to sign the agreements. Board members asked staff to notify affected property owners, secure easements where needed and present maps showing the work before proceeding to public hearing for construction funding.
