The Flambeau School District Board of Education approved multiple personnel actions at its Aug. 21 meeting. The board accepted the resignation of an elementary special education teacher and the middle school volleyball coach; it then approved hiring motions for the 2024–25 school year, including Todd Roehl as Middle School Football Coach, Nicole Deford as Elementary Music Teacher, Megan Mercier as Elementary Special Education Teacher and McKenna Sharb as 4YK Paraprofessional. Most of those hiring motions passed on unanimous roll-call votes (7-0).
Separately, the board approved the 2024–25 Elementary Guidance Counselor contract on a 5-2 roll-call vote (Yes: Doug Verdegan, Linda Zimmer, Lana Nelson, Ted Alberson, Brian Beardsley; No: Jennifer Heath, Laura Dutter-Nelson). The board also approved the High School Student Council Advisor and a pending contract for a Middle School Special Education Teacher by unanimous votes.
