Sulphur Bluff ISD board meets Aug. 7; adopts several administrative items

The Sulphur Bluff ISD Board of Trustees convened a Budget Workshop and Special Board Meeting on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. Central in the district’s School Board Room. Six of seven trustees were recorded present; Jason Neal was absent.
During the meeting the board heard the preliminary budget workshop agenda item, moved through a slate of action items and entered an executive session. Board records show that the trustees approved three substantive administrative items for the 2025–26 school year and then adjourned. The board’s formal actions included approval of the 2025–26 Appraisal Calendar, the SBISD Student Code of Conduct for 2025–26, and the SBISD Professional Development Plan for 2025–26. Each motion recorded a maker and seconder and passed with six yea votes and one absence. After reconvening from an executive session, the board voted to adjourn.
