The El Monte Union High School District Board approved several procurement and contract items during its May 7 regular meeting. The board recorded votes approving a notice of completion for South El Monte High School gymnasium flooring and awarded bids for Mountain View tennis-court fencing and Arroyo High School kitchen epoxy flooring.
Other approved items included the Almont Rosemead Adult School facility upgrades contract, termination of an agreement with NG Services US, approval of DocuWare document-management services and a curriculum-services contract with Curriculum Associates LLC to support English learners districtwide. Board members moved items as a consent agenda where appropriate; many were approved by roll call or voice votes recorded as 5–0.
Trustee Padilla held one consent item (item 17) briefly to commend services that support multilingual learners before making a motion to approve it; the item passed after discussion and a second. Several construction and procurement motions were moved, seconded, and approved with recorded tallies in the public record. Vote tallies and agenda item numbers were recorded in the meeting transcript and the board acted on each as presented.
