The El Monte Union High School District Board of Trustees recognized Belinda Mora, an office clerk at Mountain View High School, as the district’s 2025 Classified Employee of the Year at its May 7 meeting.
Principal Mister Banas introduced Mora and said her peers submitted 12 nominations, calling Mora “the heartbeat” of the instructional office and praising her as “organized, calm under pressure and an exceptional problem solver.” The board presented Mora with a certificate, an acrylic monument and a lapel pin.
Mora accepted the honor at the lectern and thanked colleagues and family. “This really means a lot to me,” she said, noting she wanted to share the recognition with all classified staff at Mountain View. Board members emphasized the day-to-day role classified staff play in school operations — opening campuses, answering phones and supporting families — and thanked Mora for helping keep the site running.
The board recessed for refreshments after the presentation and later returned to continue the evening's agenda.
