Board signs off on $89,083 in classroom device replacements funded by state grants

Interim Superintendent Tracie Eschenburg recommended purchasing 35 replacement teacher laptops from People Driven Technology for $55,425.00 using 35J Professional Development, Curriculum & Support grant funds, and 102 replacement iPads for elementary students for $33,558.00 through Apple Education using 35a(5) Additional Instructional Time grant funds. The purchases were approved as part of the consent grouping on Dec. 19, 2024.
Eschenburg told the board that considerations for secondary staff replacements will be addressed in the 2025–26 budget. Business & Finance is assigned to process purchase orders and complete vendor onboarding after the board's approval.
