Marysville board approves 2025 tax levy, $1.16M in bills and multiple consent items

The Marysville Public Schools Board of Education approved its consent grouping on Dec. 19, 2024, authorizing the district to levy 18 mills on non‑homestead property for the 2025 summer tax collection and accepting a Fall 2024 general appropriations budget amendment. The consent vote also approved payments from the General Fund totaling $1,155,543.00 (excluding payroll).
Interim Superintendent Tracie Eschenburg presented the Annual Tax Resolution and the budget amendment during the Regular meeting; a motion to approve the entire consent grouping was made by Board Treasurer Barry Kreiner and supported by Trustee Mike Rutallie. The motion passed unanimously with seven ayes, zero nays. President Schmorrow opened the meeting by noting the district motto, "Every student will excel, both personally and for the benefit of humanity."
