Marquette Alternative High School leaders describe a 'United Front' and programs; student reps report on testing and events

Andrew Crunkleton, principal of Marquette Alternative High School, presented to the board on April 21 about the school's environment and programs. Crunkleton described the environment of the building as a "United Front," and invited teachers Cyndi Depetro and Kim Matulewicz to explain classes and programs offered at MAHS.
Student Board Representatives Kaleb Chipelewski and Nate Wood reported on high school activities: juniors recently completed the SATs, other grades finished standardized testing, spring sports are starting amid challenging weather, Solo and Ensemble participation went well, and student council elections are upcoming. Chipelewski and Wood also noted student council plans for Powder Puff events (juniors vs. seniors). Board members thanked MAHS staff and students for hosting and praised the school's individualized approach; Eric Smith said he was "Impressed by individualized attention students get to discover who they are."
