Board approves purchase of Rational combi ovens; food-service director recommended Streich bid

Food Service Director Chris Collins presented competitive quotes and recommended the Streich Equipment bid ($66,927). Collins wrote in the procurement memo, "I am recommending that we use Streich Equipment to purchase the combi ovens." Trustee Jason Zdunek moved to approve the purchase and Trustee Cherryl Maddox-Smith seconded; the motion carried 7-0. The administration will complete the vendor purchase process and coordinate delivery and installation timelines with the kitchen staff.
The memo reviewed three other quotes (HPS $71,806.15; JRJ Food Equipment $70,123.50; Hiawatha Chef Supply $74,741) and noted Rational-brand equipment was specified in the request for quotes.
