The Town Board accepted the retirement of Code Enforcement Officer Harry Buxton, who served since Nov. 5, 1999, effective Sept. 22, 2024, and appointed Deputy Code Enforcement Officer Paul Wilson to the Office of Code Enforcement Officer until Jan. 3, 2025.
Under Resolution 61 of 2024 the board also authorized Buxton to transition to a part-time role at $33.69 per hour for up to 28 hours per week with no overtime, to assist Wilson with duties through Jan. 3, 2025, unless extended by board approval. The board granted Buxton the full scope of retirement benefits offered by the Town under its Employee Handbook policies.
Councilman Thomas L. Donnelly publicly thanked Buxton for nearly 25 years of service after the motion passed unanimously.
