Long Lake board accepts supervisor's Tentative Budget for 2025, schedules October workshops

Under Resolution 57 of 2024 the board formally accepted the filed tentative document; board members voting 'Aye' were Clay J. Arsenault, Mark A. Bird, Thomas L. Donnelly, Richard B. Dechene and Nathan S. Hosley. The board noted that budget workshops are scheduled for every Wednesday in October under Resolution 1 of 2024 to review proposed amounts and policies.
Why it matters: accepting the tentative budget begins the formal public review and adoption process and allows the board to incorporate input from budget workshops. Supervisor Arsenault also indicated the board will consider NYS DOT's request to assume the TAP/CMAQ sidewalk grant (a separate matter that could affect 2025 expenditures) during those workshops.
Next steps: the board will hold the October budget workshops for detailed review and public input prior to adopting a final budget for 2025.
