Airport manager outlines 2027 budget, warns runway build depends on FAA grant by Sept. 30

Stalmo described revenue assumptions and community partnerships that support the budget: hangar lease revenue is estimated at $179,320 (CPI assumed 3.5%), two new hangars are under construction, and several private investors have FAA approvals to add box and tee hangars. He noted potential timing risks tied to FAA environmental-assessment rules for a northwest ramp and apron design (a $250,000 placeholder) and said the airport may be asked to front costly environmental work before receiving grant reimbursement. The board did not amend the budget at this meeting.
