A council member (speaker 3) moved to approve, and Director Adam Adams (speaker 2) seconded the motion. The ordinance was recorded by the city clerk as 2026-02-05-01.
Council members said the action does not change service terms for businesses or residents; it is an administrative measure to align the contract with the municipal code. "We didn't do anything different," the mayor said in explaining that the contract had been in effect and the ordinance updates the code to match it.
No public testimony opposed the measure. Staff indicated it was housekeeping to ensure the contract terms are visible to people who consult the city's ordinance code.
