Athletics Director Mike Roy delivered the department's annual report at the Sept. 8 meeting, distributing season summaries for each sport and thanking community partners.
Roy said the fueling station is currently low on funds and he is working with boosters and seeking grants to support the program. He identified the tennis courts and the auxiliary gym as his two highest facility priorities. When asked about the cheer team's practice space, Roy said the team secured the old Schoolcraft elementary school for practice from November through March. Trustees asked follow-up questions about facilities and fundraising; Roy emphasized the department's focus on athletes as students first.
