The Vicksburg Board of Education unanimously approved a request from high-school teacher Laura Hayman to take FFA students to the National Convention in Indianapolis from Oct. 28-31, 2025.
Hayman told the board the school will cover transportation costs while students will be responsible for registration and related fees; about eight students hope to attend and fundraisers—including one planned at TSC that weekend—are scheduled to help students cover expenses. The motion to approve the trip was made by Trustee Tina Forsyth and seconded by Trustee Rick Burmeister and passed without opposition.
