Council approved purchase of a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) with plow for the Parks and Recreation Department after staff described its uses for winter plowing and year-round tasks.
As staff explained, the UTV will be used for plowing smaller parking lots, sidewalks and trails and to transport crews between parks: "this would be a UTV with Plow that the guys and our staff basically use all season long, for winter during for plowing, basically, trails, sidewalks, smaller parking lots." The motion to buy the UTV passed following a second and a roll call vote.
The purchase will be handled through the city's procurement process and staff will finalize the order details with the vendor.
