Board recognizes Students of the Month, names field hockey state champions and thanks retiring member Scott Moore

The Chelsea School District Board used part of its Nov. 18 meeting to celebrate student and staff accomplishments.
North Creek Elementary student Casen Ranoni and South Meadows Elementary student Colette Wade were named Students of the Month. Athletic Director Matt Cunningham congratulated the high school field hockey team for winning the 2024 Division 2 MHSFHL state championship and presented certificates on behalf of the board.
Board members and Superintendent Mike Kapolka thanked Scott Moore for his service; the meeting record states Kapolka thanked Moore "for his dedication and service to the district and its staff, students and families." Moore's retirement is effective Dec. 31, 2024.
These recognitions were presented without objection and are recorded in the public minutes as part of the board's regular acknowledgements.
