Christine Hanlon, Monmouth County clerk, and Commissioner Director Tom Arnone toured the track and spoke with a local representative, Dennis, who recounted the track's founding in 1870 and the current grandstand's 1946 construction. "Monmouth Park was 1st founded in 1870, down the road from here at the location of Fort Monmouth," Dennis said, and described the Hall of Champions and the owner's silks displayed in the grandstand.
Speakers emphasized the park's role in maintaining open space by supporting horse racing and associated farms. The segment presented the track as a local historic asset the county wants to preserve as part of its 250th-year storytelling.
