The Mason Public Schools Board of Education Policy and Community Committee reviewed two Mason High School (MHS) overnight trips during its Aug. 21, 2025 meeting and recommended both be forwarded to the full board for approval.
The committee noted the MHS Band trip to Cleveland, Ohio, and the MHS Wrestling trip to Marquette were placed on the agenda and were "recommended to move this trip to the whole board for approval." The committee did not record a final vote on either trip at the committee level. The Aug. 21 minutes show the committee discussed the trips but reserved final approval for the full Board of Education.
Committee members present were Amy Lark, Liz Evans and Lacy Harding; Gary Kinzer, superintendent, was also present. The committee’s recommendation means the full board will consider formal approval at a future meeting rather than the committee taking final action.
