District outlines curriculum, professional development and MTSS plans for 2025–26

At the Aug. 14 meeting Superintendent Dr. Gary Kinzer introduced Randy Barton and Melissa Netzel, who presented the district’s curriculum and instruction priorities for the 2025–26 school year. The presentation outlined professional development plans for the year and specific implementation work on Wonders and Into Math for K–5, and described planned secondary-curriculum development.
The staff presentation also emphasized work on Multi-Tiered Support Systems (MTSS), data collection procedures and efforts to strengthen school culture. Board members received the update during a special-reports portion of the meeting; no board action was required or recorded on the curriculum items that evening.
