President Dave Schmorrow called the special meeting of the Marysville Public Schools Board of Education to order at 7:00 p.m. and the board heard an overview of the superintendent search process from consultant John Silveri of MLI. After discussion, Trustee Nick Thomas moved — with support from Trustee Mike Rutallie — "to not select any of the three finalists and repeat the process at a later date." The motion carried unanimously (Ayes: 7; Nays: 0).
The board did not name or select a superintendent from the finalist pool; the minutes record that "none of the finalist candidates were seleted for the position of Superintedent." The board did not set a public timeline in the minutes for the renewed search. The meeting record shows the board plans to reopen the process rather than appointing from the finalists presented that evening.
