Algonac board adopts final 2024–25 amendment and 2025–26 budget; certifies millage rates

The Algonac Board of Education approved Resolution 'Budget Amendment Act #2' as the final amendment for the 2024–25 General Fund, School Service Fund and Special Revenue Fund budgets and then adopted the General Appropriation Resolution for the 2025–26 fiscal year. Both measures passed unanimously, with motions moved by Andrew Goulet and Heather Arneil-Roberts respectively and supporting votes as recorded in the minutes.
The Board also certified millage rates for 2025: 18.0000 mills for operating on non-homestead and non-qualified agricultural property, 2.400 mills for debt retirement, 6.0000 mills on personal commercial property and 1.8397 mills for the sinking fund. The motion to certify the millage was moved by President Nicole Emery and supported by Jennifer Baker; the vote was 6–0.
