Ross Eberle told the board that spring is state-testing season and the technology department is preparing devices and systems to support a new testing platform. He reported that Chromebook damage increased to an average of about two per week in January and said student insurance is used where appropriate.
Eberle said the district has enabled 'Notebook LM' for staff only, an AI feature built into Google Tools for Education, and that the district is holding off on enabling student-facing AI tools until the parent and student handbook can be amended to include AI usage policies.
