The Dakota CUSD #201 Board of Education adopted a supplemental property-tax levy resolution intended to raise levy amounts up to the district's Debt Service Extension Base for Levy Years 2024–2028. Financial staff explained that the resolution allows the district to increase its levy later, up to the lesser of the DSEB or the required debt payment in a given year, and that using February's CPI numbers enables covering multiple years at once.
Board member Shane Riggle moved to adopt the resolution, seconded by Karen Kleckner; the motion passed 6 Yes and 1 No (Tim Clay). Administrators noted that the next supplemental levy resolution will be needed for Levy Year 2029. The resolution was filed with the County Clerk as required for levy administration.
