The Dakota CUSD 201 Board of Education approved the DHS FY2026 curriculum handbook in its second reading. The handbook incorporates minor title and description edits and adds a Computer Science class to satisfy a state requirement for offering computer science.
Shane Riggle moved to approve the handbook and HeiDee Meier seconded; the motion passed 7–0. The board also discussed a three‑year PE option as a pilot for the upcoming school year. The minutes state that the Computer Science course “is a new inclusion to meet the state requirement of offering a Computer Science course.”
