District operations staff told the board that several facility projects were complete and others remain on a prioritized list for the coming year.
Staff member S5 reported, "Sidewalks are done finished. Mister Fischel did a great job with that." He also said gym floors were completed and that the scoreboard (a 2007 model) requires nonstandard parts that may require replacement or special-order quotes. During discussion S5 described field-paint procurement and said switching to bulk field paint would save money long term, noting the 55-gallon option "will pay for itself in about a 30 years." The board acknowledged the list of needs and connected some items to the building-reserve and levy strategies discussed later in the meeting.
Board members asked staff to collect formal bids for locker-room repairs, roof work at the elementary school and other prioritized projects so those can be scheduled through the recently adopted reserves and capital plan.
