Committee creates 'Farmstand' mini-market plan to boost perishables in 2025

Committee members introduced a Farmstand/mini-market concept to run during the growing season, focused on perishables such as vegetables, meat and some baked goods while limiting crafts and nonperishables. Chair and other members said the mini-markets would operate under the pavilion with only a handful of vendors and minimal public-works staffing; "we're gonna have 5 probably 5 ish vendors under the pavilion only," a member said when describing expected participation.

The group discussed operational constraints—pavilion rentals during market hours, staffing levels, and a decision to reduce full markets to one per month in July and August because of lower turnout. Committee members agreed to integrate the Farmstand into the 2025 vendor application and include a live vendor list to manage signups and prepayments.
