District Food Service Director Chris Collins provided vendor quotes in a memo: Hiawatha Chef Supply ($8,100/unit), Streich Equipment ($7,245/unit), HPS ($7,607.25/unit) and JRJ Equipment ($8,999/unit). The board approved purchasing six units from Streich Equipment for a total of $43,470 on a motion by Jason Zdunek, seconded by Cherryl Maddox‑Smith; motion carried 7–0.
The purchase was described as part of the district's ongoing spend‑down plan and to support meal service logistics during the summer program.
