Presenters reported attendance remains generally strong but noted slight declines for students with disabilities and Hispanic students between September and December. The district described adult-focused practices (regular meetings, family communications and coaching) that it says have reached broad implementation and credited social workers for support to students receiving targeted services.
The board asked for follow-up details on how school-level implementation maps to district targets and how the new growth measure will be disaggregated by subgroup. Staff said further, detailed reports will be provided in subsequent meetings and that deeper data will be included in midyear updates scheduled for February and again in April.
