District reports van damaged by deer, explores cameras and notes staff training

Mrs. Traci Gavenda reported that a white district van struck a deer and that “The deer did over $5000 worth of damage and is still in Big Rapids due to the cost of bringing it home and getting it fixed.” She said the district is waiting for parts and is exploring the installation of cameras in vans. Gavenda also reported that a Nov. 18 NARCAN training drew six attendees and that a MESSA representative visited to answer staff insurance questions.
