Superintendent Dr. Shelton said Ramos brings more than a decade of experience in finance, operations and strategic planning and noted his prior roles with Knowledge House, Alliance College Ready Public Schools, and Partnership for Los Angeles Schools.
Ramos told the board he was "excited and thankful for this opportunity to serve" and described his educational background and experience building financial systems and long-term investment strategies. Ramos said he has managed budgets "of over $4,000,000,000 to date" and emphasized a focus on using financial systems to advance educational equity. The board welcomed Ramos and planned a photo following the introductions.
