Superintendent Bill presented the plan and said, “if you took a look at the budget we sent out, we'll be at roughly 16,000,000 and 473,000 this year,” and explained the district is returning to a more typical $15–16 million operating range after recent construction years. He warned that state funding “will flatline” even as prices rise, meaning the district must rely more on local dollars to cover increased costs.
Board members moved and seconded the budget adoption. After discussion, the board conducted a roll call and the motion carried. The superintendent noted the district had factored in an 18% increase in health benefits costs and that some federal grant funds remain available to offset expenses.
The board also approved a separate personnel report and other action items during the same meeting. The district intends to continue monitoring enrollment and grant revenues as it implements the FY26 spending plan.
