Pete Wilson, Sanford’s street superintendent, said his division runs two crews of five people who handle potholes, sidewalks, tree work, brick-road care and other street-related tasks around the city. "We have 2 groups of 5 people, 2 crews, out in the field tackling things all day every day," Wilson said.
Wilson told listeners the best way to get a problem addressed is to call Public Works or submit a report through the Sanford mobile app so administrative staff can generate a work order and dispatch crews. "Within 24 hours, we have it," he said of an average pothole response time, adding crews triage requests into A/B/C priority levels.
