The Swan Valley School District Board of Education met in a special session on April 23, 2025, and adopted an amended agenda on a motion by JoAnn Schneider, seconded by Heather Farr. Kevin Shanks, vice president of the board, called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m., and the board recorded a unanimous vote to adopt the agenda (Aye: 6; Nye: 0).
Board members removed several preliminary items, communications and routine reports from the agenda and proceeded to the superintendent search portion of the meeting. The board recorded scheduled interview times for finalists (Troy Reehl at 5:30 p.m., Scott Cochran at 6:45 p.m., and Craig Blower at 8:00 p.m.) and heard that interview questions would be provided by Mr. Bruce Martin of the Michigan Association of School Boards. Vice President Kevin Shanks adjourned the meeting at 9:37 p.m.
