Saginaw Township Board elects Collison president, Bird vice president for 2025

The Saginaw Township Board of Education unanimously elected Janice Collison president, Marianne Bird vice president, Michele DeShone secretary and Jenean Coughlin treasurer for 2025 during its Jan. 27 meeting.
The Saginaw Township Board of Education on Jan. 27 elected its 2025 officers in unanimous roll-call votes. David Jaffe nominated Janice Collison for board president; the motion was seconded by Marianne Bird and adopted with all members voting yes.
The board also chose Marianne Bird as vice president, Michele DeShone as secretary and Jenean Coughlin as treasurer. Nominations were made and seconded by board members and each office was filled by unanimous roll call vote. The board had earlier appointed Arik Smith as Temporary President and Jenean Coughlin as Temporary Secretary for election purposes.
The newly elected leadership takes office immediately for board business in 2025. The elections were handled as individual motions recorded in the meeting minutes and did not include public debate in the minutes.
