Board adopts updated Middle Cities workers' compensation resolution

Superintendent R. Roberts told the board a Middle Cities representative asked for an updated resolution; he said Middle Cities covers district liability "across the board for property and employees." The item was presented by Dr. Roberts and read aloud by President Dr. Charles Coleman before the board voted.
Mrs. Nash moved to accept the resolution and Mrs. Thompson supported the motion; the board approved it by roll-call voice vote (Ayes 6, Nays 0). Board members said the action is an annual administrative requirement to maintain coverage.
The board did not discuss premium amounts or contract terms at the meeting. District staff indicated the item would remain on a recurring annual schedule for renewal.
