The Saginaw School District of the City of Board of Education adopted its consent agenda at the Sept. 24 Action Meeting, approving prior minutes, unaudited June and August financials, the 2025–26 Title I consolidated application and the 2025–26 31a budget, a set of SCC career-technical contracts (cosmetology, HVAC, welding and nursing partnerships) and the September human-resources/labor-relations report.
"Moved by Ms. Knapp and supported by Mrs. Seals, that the Saginaw Board of Education adopt the Consent Agenda as amended," the motion read before the board voted by voice: Ayes 6, Nays 0. MASB certification and the Professional Development calendar had been removed from the consent list prior to the vote because the MASB delegations had already been decided and the calendar was information-only.
Board members said the consent items were routine but important for school operations. The consent vote cleared budgetary measures that authorize day-to-day programs and allowed the district to finalize several career-and-technical training agreements that place students with industry partners.
The board did not disclose dollar totals for the approved budgets or contracts at the meeting; members said budget documents and contract records are available in the Board Book and the district office. The board listed next steps and committee follow-ups in the published minutes.
