Council reappoints and names alternates to several boards following executive session
Summary
After an executive session for personnel, the council reappointed members to the Board of Adjustment and Planning & Zoning Commission and named alternates; appointments were made by motion and approved on voice votes.
Following an executive session on personnel matters, the Lucas City Council returned to open session and acted on board appointments.
Council reappointed Sean Watts, Charles Corperon and Paula Walker to the Board of Adjustment and named Richard Schertz as alternate 2, replacing an outgoing alternate. For the Planning & Zoning Commission, council reappointed Tommy Tolleson, Joe Williams and Frank Heis as members, moved John Awezick to a voting member, moved Brian Dale to first alternate and named Jonathan Underhill as second alternate. Motions to make the appointments were made in open session and approved by voice vote.
The appointments close a staffing loop on advisory boards that advise council on zoning, development and planning matters. Staff will notify appointees and update rosters for 2025 terms.
