CDD names representatives to Pelican Sound Safeguard Panel; sidewalk inspections to be presented in January

Board members will represent River Ridge on a Pelican Sound Community Safeguard Panel (Mr. Merrill for disaster safeguarding and Mr. Twombly for street safety). Staff will present finalized sidewalk inspection reports and repair estimates at the January meeting.
Chair Bob Schultz reported that River Ridge will participate in the Pelican Sound Community Safeguard Panel. He said the CDD will take part in Objective 2 (safeguarding the community from natural disasters) with Supervisor Keith Merrill as the CDD representative, and Objective 4 (improving street safety) with Supervisor Robert Twombly as representative.
Mr. Long said he emailed communities an updated Action Plan comprising seven objectives and provided an overview of other objectives and panel members. He addressed questions about storm-surge risks above 15 feet and possible flooding impacts to the CDD and said he will provide an update on the panel’s first meeting, planned for December. Mr. Krebs said sidewalk inspection reports are being finalized and repair estimates will be presented at the January meeting.
