Seaside & Master Drainage project to start; board approves $15,000 irrigation change order

District Engineer Charlie Krebs presented a revised scope of work for the Seaside & Master Drainage Project designed to preserve the project’s original intent while allowing easier system changes by district operations. MRI (Hole Montes, Inc. contractor) expects work to commence in two to three weeks.
Mr. Krebs also presented ancillary irrigation costs tied to the drainage work: $4,002.50 to repair damaged wiring and roughly $1,300 each to raise seven to eight irrigation heads. The board approved the Irrigation Concepts change order, not to exceed $15,000.
Operations staff will proceed with the contracted drainage work and the approved irrigation repairs; Mr. Krebs said he will finalize associated agreements and confirm rates where needed.
