As part of a long-term traffic-calming plan, District operations presented AV‑Tech estimates to install three 15‑inch solar-powered radar speed signs with cameras and messaging, plus a mobile unit. The proposals included $1,500 per cloud traffic device per year and an additional mobile-unit installation cost.
Mr. Long recommended relocating an existing mobile unit 20 to 30 yards to better record violations; Mr. Willis said poles will be purchased from Paramount Asphalt for approximately $1,200 each. On motion by Mr. Schultz, seconded by Mr. Blumenthal, the board approved AV‑Tech Estimates 24150 and 24151 to wire and install three permanent and one mobile 15" solar-powered digital speed signs and cloud subscriptions for a combined total of $105,000 (unanimous).
Board discussion also touched on existing criteria for PSGRC to issue warnings and fines and a suggestion that the HOA assume cloud-device costs and offset them with covenant traffic fines collected by PSGRC.
