Superintendent updates board on near-complete projects, RO-system delays and bus repairs

The superintendent said the delay stemmed from a contractor (referred to as "Dale") not yet returning to finish a drain repair and that Field Brothers performed a temporary patch. On the RO (reverse-osmosis) water system, the superintendent said the unit requires a special part that is being built and "it's almost done." The superintendent asked the board for technical help if further complications arise.
Discussion also covered transportation: the superintendent said the district is adding a heavy-duty deer guard to a bus and noted concerns about the trade-in/sale value of an old bus, saying on record that the bus was priced at $6,900 but that the district might get only "$2 if we're lucky" when selling the old vehicle, and that title transfer fees could be roughly $1,000.
The board received the updates as informational; no new capital-authority votes were taken during the facility update.
