Ben Wuthrich of the Wasatch Front Regional Council presented the draft 2027–2032 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) to the Ogden/Layton TAC and described the program mix and schedule for public comment.
"The draft TIP includes STP, CMAQ, Carbon Reduction, and TAP projects for the Ogden-Layton and Salt Lake urbanized areas, as well as numerous projects administered by UDOT and UTA," Wuthrich told the committee. He said the projects recommended by Trans Com are anticipated to be approved by the WFRC Regional Council on May 28 and that the public review and comment period is expected to begin in late June and continue through July.
The draft TIP identifies projects funded through multiple federal and state programs; staff urged jurisdictions to review the draft during the public comment window to identify any local concerns or coordination needs.
