Councilors raised the possibility of using the Badcock building as a permanent city facility and asked staff to follow up with the listing realtor and circulate prior studies.
One council member asked for the sale price for the Badcock building and for staff to gather floor plans and previous assessments. The city manager (S8) said he would get the answer and circulate backstory materials: "I'll I'll get that answer," he said, and later: "In the next day or so, I will be forwarding the backstory for the Babcock Building."
Council asked staff to report what was paid for the property previously purchased for a new city hall (councilors referenced ARPA funds), and the council agreed by consensus to have the city manager contact the realtor about the Badcock building listing and to consider it among options for a permanent city facility.
